This week’s top issues:
- BIBA attended BIPAR (the European Federation of insurance intermediaries) Directors’ Committee meeting in Stockholm to represent UK brokers in Europe
- BIBA already has over 2000 brokers registered for the BIBA Conference next week at ExCel London
- New improvements and opportunities on the online Find a Broker search – click here
BIBA has also:
- Met with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), the Financial Services Association (FSA) and Association of British Insurers (ABI) to discuss the volcanic ash crisis
- Held its General Insurance Brokers’ Committee meeting to discuss member issues
- Taken part in a round table Power Hour at Insurance Age to discuss broker liability for risk placement
- Released 4,000 additional questions doubling its question bank on broker ASSESS – Why not try it for yourself?
- Worked with members to answer insurance questions and promote brokers for the BBC
- Met with the Chief Executive of the Law Society to discuss professional indemnity insurance
- Met with official delegation from the Nigerian Council of registered insurance brokers
- Presented to delegation from BIBA and CII Scotland
